Here are some of the many home poker variations:
1. "Chinese Poker", also known as "Russian Poker":
This game uses 52-card-deck, 13 cards being dealt to 4 different players. Every player will get 13 cards and will play their 3 best poker hands, this is also known as "front", "back" and "middle". Both the "back" and "middle" are a 5 card hands and should outrank the "front". The "front" is a 3 card hand.
Each hand that players win will pick up 1 chip and the extra chips will be given to the overall winner of the game.
2. Chowaha:
This poker variation was invented by Mike Chow. Some TOC Champions like this game.
3. Razz:
This poker variation is played like 7-card Stud, except that the lowest hand will win the showdown.
4. Lowball:
This poker variation is played like Draw Poker, except that the player with the lowest hand wins the game.
5. Pineapple:
This kind of poker variation is played like Texas Hold'em, except that the player will be dealt 3 cards at the start of the game, instead of just 2 cards. The player should discard one of the three hole cards immediately before the beginning of the first round of bets.
6. Guts:
There will be 2 cards that will be dealt to every player, after being dealt, each can opt out. The remaining players who are in, the pot will go to the highest hand while the rest of the players who are all "in" should put into the pot what the winner got.
7. Indian Poker:
Each player is dealt one card that is facing down. Then each player will hold the card facing upward on their forehead and then they will bet on the card in accordance to what they see on their opponent's cards.
8. 3-5-7:
Each player is dealt 3 cards, and then they will decide to pass or stay in, beginning with the player seated on the left of the dealer.
9. Anaconda:
There will be 7 cards for every player that will be dealt by the dealer and then they must discard, and then pass, 3 cards to players located on their left. After discarding cards and passing to their left, each player will then order the five remaining cards in a stack, whichever way they want it. After that, the players will have to expose their top cards. The next step is to bet. This is done until the final hand is revealed by every player.
10. Follow the Queen:
This is played like the 7-Card Stud, except that the queens are considered to be a wild card. The next card dealt after the queen is considered to be a wild card, as well.
